Frequently asked questions

When can I get a new splint?

Your device has a two-year warranty. Most health insurers also consider a usage period of two years. After about two years, we will contact you to make an appointment. During that appointment, we will check your device. If it needs replacing, we can fit you with a new one.

What should I do if my splint is broken?

Please contact us. We will ask you to share a photo of the defect, which helps us determine the best solution.

How long should I wear my splint?

Wear the device when you need it, for example during activities. It is also important to take it off regularly to let your skin breathe. Your practitioner can advise you further on this.

Frequently asked questions

How does the first appointment go?

During your first appointment, we will talk with you about your (pain) complaints, your daily life, and your wishes regarding the device. We will then discuss the available options with you. In most cases, you can also choose the color of the material.

During the first appointment, we also take measurements. We do this with our ManoX scanner, which creates a 3D model of your hand, or with a ring size measurement for a finger splint.

At this appointment, we also check your referral and your right to reimbursement. We will discuss the next steps and, in most cases, schedule a follow-up appointment right away to collect your device.
