It starts with a referral

To receive a custom-made brace you need a referral from your doctor or specialist. With a referral, the brace is fully reimbursed by your health insurance.

As soon as you have a referral we will schedule an appointment together at one of our locations across the Netherlands. We make sure you can be seen quickly.

Your unique brace

During the appointment we use our 3D technology to create a perfectly fitting brace or splint. Our Mano X scanner makes an exact 3D model of your hand in a fraction of a second.

Within two weeks your brace will be ready.

Manometric braces and splints are usually completely covered by your health insurance; with a referral from your specialist.

We handle everything with your health insurance provider.

Frequently asked questions

Are Manometric products reimbursed?

With a referral from your medical specialist, for example a rheumatologist or an orthopedic or plastic surgeon stating your medical indication, your brace will be fully reimbursed by your insurer. We arrange this for you.

It is important that your medical indication is chronic and that you have not received reimbursement for an aid for the same condition in the past two years.

The reimbursement is paid from the basic insurance, so you do not pay any personal contribution. The deductible of 385 euros per year (NL) does apply.

  • What do I need to make an appointment?

    To make an appointment, it is important that you have a referral from a medical specialist, or that you have had one in the past. Without a referral, we cannot arrange reimbursement for your aid.We also need your personal details such as your date of birth, address, BSN number, telephone number and email address.

    How do I get a referral?

    Have you already been to a medical specialist for your complaints? Contact the outpatient clinic to ask if you can get a referral for an orthopedic aid.Have you not been to a medical specialist before? Then contact your general practitioner to ask for a referral to a medical specialist.

    What must my referral include?

    To receive reimbursement, your referral must come from a medical specialist. This can be digital or on paper. In both cases it is important that the referral is signed or digitally approved.The referral must include your personal details, your chronic medical indication and the advice of the medical specialist. It must also state the name of the doctor and the healthcare institution. The referral must also have a date.Your referral is valid for one year after it has been issued.
